Church Membership Covenant

In humble dependence upon God and in response to His grace in my life, I joyfully enter into this Membership Covenant with the pastors, leaders, and members of House of Prayer as an expression of my commitment to Jesus Christ and His Church.

Having confessed Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior, and being baptised in water, I affirm my desire to walk faithfully with Him and grow in spiritual maturity within this local body of believers.

As a member of this church, I covenant before God to:

• Live according to the teachings and authority of the Holy Bible and uphold a Christ-centered life in personal conduct and testimony.
• Maintain a steady relationship and God through prayer, worship, and regular study of His Word.
• Faithfully participate in church services, cluster gatherings, and church meetings as far as possible.
• Preserve the unity of the church by demonstrating love, humility, forgiveness, and by refraining from gossip, division, or conduct that disrupts the harmony of the body.
• Submit to the spiritual leadership and pastoral care of the church, honoring the God-given authority established for my spiritual growth and accountability.
• Use my spiritual gifts, abilities, and resources to serve in the ministries of the church as God enables me.
• Support the ministry of the church through freewill offerings as an act of worship and stewardship.
• Uphold the vision and mission of the church and cooperate with fellow believers in advancing the Kingdom of God locally and globally.
• Inform church leadership if I decide to seek membership elsewhere, maintaining transparency and integrity in my spiritual journey.
• Actively participate in the ministries, outreach programs, and mission efforts of the church, contributing time and effort to advance the Gospel and serve the community as God leads.

I acknowledge that the spiritual leaders of this church are entrusted by God with the responsibility of shepherding and overseeing the members of this congregation. As an active member, I willingly submit to their pastoral care, guidance, and spiritual accountability.

With prayerful dependence upon the Holy Spirit, I enter into this covenant voluntarily and sincerely, trusting God to help me remain faithful.
