Independent

Sovereignly brought into existence as an independent congregation by Father God.

Relational

Though independent in origin we are relational in existence, being a part of the larger Body of Christ in the city, the nation and the world.

Movement

We are a movement that sees the local congregation as a place to train, equip, mobilize, and support the spread of the message of God the Father and Jesus Christ His Son by the indwelling power and presence of His Holy Spirit.

Family

Born into a family, to restore and grow the Father’s family as a corporate family, as well as restoring individual families to reflect God’s design and blessing in wholeness and freedom.

Clusters

We are a movement of clusters grafted into the Lord Jesus Christ, the Vine. Some are dependent or interdependent, while others spread in a relationally independent way.

To enhance the Kingdom of God and the Body of Christ by moving individuals to a deeper knowledge of God, and to obey the Great Commandments and fulfill the Great Commission.

House of Prayer

House of Prayer is a non-denominational church, a family of God’s children based at Thiruvananthapuram, the capital of Kerala, fondly called 'God's Own Country'. Here, in this family, we are committed to equip people to grow into the fullness of Christ through the ministry of the Word and the Holy Spirit.

We invite you to join us at our gatherings where people from all backgrounds come together under one banner, glorifying one Name- the name of Jesus Christ. It would truly be a great pleasure to meet you in person, know more about you, and develop an enduring long-term relationship with you.

Our Leaders

Pr. Sam T Varghese

The Founder and senior Pastor of House of Prayer. He is the only son of (late) Pastor E.V. Varghese and (late) Mercy Varghese. He has a rich godly heritage and comes from a family where several members have invested their lives working towards the furtherance of the Gospel.

One of his primary burdens is to see men of God standing together in unity and ministries working together in partnership to glorify the Lord’s name and fulfil the Lord’s purposes in this nation. He oversees the Apostolic Churches Alliance (ACA), a body consisting of Independent Churches in Kerala and across India.

Pastor Sam is ably supported by his dear wife, Jasmine (Jessy). She is a pillar of strength in the ministry and an anointed singer.
